Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s):                                                                               You are receiving this information because your student has failed one or more of their 9th grade core classes during this school year. A failing grade in 9th grade will affect your student’s high school graduation credit requirements. Sand Ridge Junior High is offering Summer credit recovery this year. Credit recovery will be held May 28th – May 31st from 9:00AM- 12:00PM and June 3rd – June 6th from 9:00AM-12:00PM. Students will be enrolled in our *Edgenuity Credit Recovery Program to earn their recovery credit. Earning credit will not replace a failing grade, but will provide the necessary credit and will help ease your students' transition into high school to possibly be back on-track for graduation. To ensure that your student is successful, your student will be expected to stay at the school during the dates and times provided. Each test must be proctored, but then the remaining assignments are available 24/7. Sand Ridge Junior High Summer Credit Recovery Program 2024 Block 1: May 28th – 31st, 2024 9:00 AM -12:00 PM Block 2: June 3rd – 6th, 2024   9:00AM-12:00PM Cost: $35 for unlimited credit recovery during summer school. Will need to complete one .25 credit at a time. Pre-registration and payment are mandatory. No same day registration, as it takes 48 hours after registration to activate an Edgenuity Account. Limited seating available for each block. Available Courses for 9th grade students: Geography, Earth Science, Physics, English, Math Parents are responsible for transportation to and from Sand Ridge. No busing will be provided. Note: Sand Ridge JH uses a combination of testing and assignments to award credit recovery, which can substantially decrease the time and work needed to recovery a credit, and we charge a one-time fee of $35.00. Once your student reaches the high school, they will be required to make-up the entire term for any missed credit and the cost will be $35.00 per ‘F’ to complete their recovery.  Payments can be made over the phone by calling the main office at (801) 476-5326.  Registration will be open now through May 22, 2024.
