Hello parents and guardians,
I just want to touch base with you about this last week of school and some of the plans and schedules.
- We have regular schedule days Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thursday, we have an assembly first thing in the morning. From the assembly, we will attend all 7 class periods. Yearbooks will be handed out to all who ordered them and who have no fees or fines owed during 1st period.
- The last 70 minutes of the day we will have an hour and 10 minutes for students to go out to the football field and sign each other’s yearbooks.
- Friday will be a normal early out day where students who come to school will be expected to attend each class period just as on any other day.

We understand that families have plans and things as the school wraps up.
- Just know that we support you if you plan to keep your students home to begin vacations etc.
- It will not negatively affect their grades.
Unfortunately, another point that I need to make is that the end of the school we often see pranks as well as some escalating behavior issues.
- Please speak to your children regarding the inappropriateness of pranks and/or participating in behaviors that could lead to suspension.
- We really don’t want to suspend anyone this last week of school, however, if students violate policy, we will continue to enforce discipline.

Some examples of things that we see often are things like
- squirt guns,
- confetti cannons,
- silly string,
- and other issues that cause disruption during the school day.
- Please make sure your students know your expectations.
- Our expectations are no different this week than any other week of school.

Hola padres y guardianes,
Solo quiero hablar con ustedes sobre esta última semana de clases y algunos de los planes y horarios.
- Tenemos horarios regulares los lunes, martes y miércoles.

El jueves tenemos una asamblea a primera hora de la mañana. A partir de la asamblea, asistiremos a los 7 períodos de clase. Los anuarios se entregarán a todos los que los ordenaron y que no tengan tarifas o multas adeudadas durante el 1er período.
- Los últimos 70 minutos del día tendremos una hora y 10 minutos para que los estudiantes salgan al campo de fútbol y firmen los anuarios de los demás.
- El viernes será un día normal de salida temprana en el que se espera que los estudiantes que vengan a la escuela asistan a cada período de clase como cualquier otro día.
- Entendemos que las familias tienen planes y cosas a medida que termina la escuela.
- Solo sepa que lo apoyamos si planea mantener a sus estudiantes en casa para comenzar las vacaciones, etc.
- No afectará negativamente sus calificaciones.
Desafortunadamente, otro punto que debo hacer es que al final de la escuela a menudo vemos bromas, así como algunos problemas de comportamiento cada vez mayores.
- Hable con sus hijos sobre lo inapropiado de las bromas y/o la participación en comportamientos que podrían llevar a la suspensión.
- Realmente no queremos suspender a nadie esta última semana de clases, sin embargo, si los estudiantes violan la política, continuaremos aplicando medidas disciplinarias.

Algunos ejemplos de cosas que vemos a menudo son cosas como
- pistolas de agua,
- cañones de confeti,
- cuerda tonta,
- y otros problemas que causan interrupciones durante la jornada escolar.
- Por favor, asegúrese de que sus estudiantes conozcan sus expectativas.
- Nuestras expectativas no son diferentes esta semana que cualquier otra semana de clases.
