All parents must register for a Parent account with PowerSchool at: https://weber.powerschool.com/public  The Weber School District Code is NSQK.  If you have problems with your powerschool account you can call your schools main office or the helpdesk at 801-452-4444.  It is much easier to navigate Powerschool on a desktop computer rather than downloading the app, you cannot make payments through the app.

Registration forms are found online and can be accessed through the Weber School District’s powerschool parent portal account beginning August 1st.  If you are on a web browser click on FORMS on the left menu and fill out appropriate forms. If you are using the Powerschool App click on the three dots at the bottom right , click on forms, click on general forms, and fill out all necessary forms that apply. Please also take this opportunity to update emergency contacts for your student. We can not allow a person to check a student out if they are not as a contact on the student account.

ONE Sand Ridge: We are going to begin our third year of our school culture shift toward positive interactions with peers at school. We call this initiative ONE Sand Ridge. The idea is that no matter our background, differences, abilities, or past problems, we are STRONGER TOGETHER than we will ever be apart. We don’t desire to change what makes us individual, but we do want to become supports for each other. Our ONE Sand Ridge logo embodies this goal showing a top view of a circle of individuals placing their arms around each other’s shoulders and forming a strong support system. We have truly made strides in our professional relationships and understanding of other’s perspectives. We are so happy you and your student will bring your strengths here!

Class schedule: Your student will be able to print the class schedule beginning August 7th by logging into PowerSchool.

Class/School Fees: We strongly urge you to pay school and class fees online. We also suggest purchasing a yearbook now instead of waiting untill the Feb 1st deadline. You can not pay fees on the App, but If you are on a web browser in powerschool use the left menu at the bottom click on Payments and Purchases. This will take you to pay fees. The Fees Checklist may help you understand the fees that are required.  If you need assistance with fees you can apply for a fee waiver

Picture Day: Bell Photography will be taking pictures on Friday, August 23rd during school for the yearbook and ID Cards. Your student will be given an ID Card that will be required for school lunch, checking out library books and more.

Buses: If you would like to know if your student rides a bus, please use the Bus Stop Locator. **These routes are not set yet and are subject to change often – especially at the beginning of the year. I recommend you check the day before school starts.

Lunch: Students must have their school ID for lunch. Those will be issued after picture day. Once they are issued, student who do not have their ID (or a picture of their ID on their phone) must wait until those that have their IDs are through the lines. This has helped move our lines along quickly and ensures that each student has plenty of time to eat.

CELL PHONES: Weber School District and Sand Ridge Junior High have adopted a new electronic device (cell phones etc.) policy. We strongly encourage you and your student to know it and talk about it. A very short paraphrasing is that during instructional time devices must not be seen or heard – anywhere in the school. Students have access to school telephones in the counseling office and main office if they need to call home. They may also use their devices between classes and during their assigned lunch time – except in prohibited areas. Data has shown that these devices are very seriously impacting student learning through their distraction. We want our students to learn, progress, and succeed! That is why we are here.

Please don't hesitate to come in or call 801-476-5320 with any questions you may have. We look forward to a fabulous year!
